What should CDM software help you organise?
A useful CDM workspace helps the team connect project circumstances, dutyholder records, pre-construction information, design decisions and supporting evidence. Start by identifying where your current process loses context: an unanswered information request, a drawing revision or an action that nobody owns.
CDMlogic focuses on this project workflow for architects, designers and CDM Principal Designers. Visit the CDMlogic website to explore the product and who it is for. Software supports the work; the appointed people and organisations still carry out their duties.
Six checks for a CDM software demo
- Project context and dutyholder records. Can the team record the client type, contractor arrangements and appointment position, with supporting information? Check that a prepared appointment draft is distinguishable from an appointment actually issued.
- Pre-construction information gaps. Ask how the system records a missing survey, its owner, review date and evidence. An uploaded file should have a clear relationship to the question it addresses.
- Design risk decisions. Follow a concern from the design option through the decision and significant residual information to communicate. A risk label alone does not explain the reasoning.
- Changes and outstanding actions. Introduce a revised drawing or new information. Check how the team sees what changed, who must review it and which actions remain unresolved.
- Handover records. Ask how information is organised for closeout and Health & Safety File tracking where applicable. Clarify what is a general project record and what belongs in the file.
- Team access and practical use. Discuss who can read or edit information, what exports are available and how records can be retrieved. Confirm access, support and commercial arrangements before starting.

See the workflow on the CDMlogic website
The CDMlogic product walkthrough follows a fictional refurbishment through six project steps and shows current PCI and design risk screens. It is a public tour with static example views, rather than access to a live project.
If the workflow looks relevant, ask Lloyd for a CDMlogic demo with an example suited to your practice.
Can CDM software guarantee compliance?
No. Record completeness does not establish that the information is suitable, that an appointment is valid or that duties have been carried out. Use competent review and keep evidence connected to the actual project. The CDM Principal Designer role and England's Building Regulations Principal Designer role are separate; confirm the scope of any tool you evaluate.
Explore a free two-month CDMlogic pilot
The Logic Suite pilot programme is limited to up to five customer organisations across CDMlogic and POWRAlogic helping shape the tools. Participants receive two months free and preferential rates if they continue. Scope, access, start dates and exact future rates are agreed with Lloyd before paid use.
CDMlogic is currently in pilot. An enquiry starts a conversation and does not automatically reserve a place or create product access.
